Don’t Lose Heart

Don’t lose a soft, gentle heart. It is easy to be angry, easy to feel what is evident. It’s good to understand our emotions, but ultimately be influenced by the Spirit of God in cohesion with our spirit and reason. Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. We connect with God about the spirit of a matter, we know in 1 Corinthians 13:13 now these three remain: faith, hope, and love… here is where we sow our treasure, in the kingdom not seen, in what we live and inherit spiritually; the fruit of God’s spirit as in Galatians 5:22 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control. These attitudes are the reward and available in every moment genuinely experiencing love.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. We experience God’s love through the Holy Spirit our helper, as in prayer, we open our reason and allow our spirit to be active and surrendered to God. John 14:1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. We put our trust and belief in God’s person rather than our own power. This doesn’t mean we are not empowered people persevering to reach our goals. It does mean that even if the goals are not reached, our identity and purpose in a relationship with God never changes. There is a peace that remains steady. Resting in Christ is sharing in his nature, not being dependent on a specific outcome. Being secure is not based by how much money, or many people around, but rather not losing heart or trust, or hope, or faith. There is peace no matter the struggle.
